Last Updated: October 27, 2022

What payment plan options do I have?

You will have three payment plans for your booking.Ā

1) Full payment upfrontĀ

2) Instalment plan; orĀ

3) Fundraising plan.Ā

You will be asked which plan you prefer during your application call. If you do not select a plan during your application call, the default option will be the ā€œFull payment upfront planā€ detailed below.Ā

How does each payment plan work?

Full payment upfront plan

Youā€™ll pay the full cost of your booking in one payment to confirm your program. This amount includes an application processing fee of ZARĀ 1,400.Ā

Instalment plan

Youā€™ll pay a non-refundable deposit upfront of ZARĀ 5,495Ā  to confirm your program and the remaining balance of your program fee will be divided into equal installments due by the final day of each calendar month. This amount includes an application processing fee of ZARĀ 1,400. The number of installments will be calculated by counting the number of full calendar months that fall between the receipt of your deposit payment and 3 calendar months prior to your program start date. The final monthly installment will be due 3 calendar months before your program start date.

Choosing this payment plan incurs a fee of ZARĀ 2,500 and this fee is split equally across all your instalments.Ā

Fundraising plan

Youā€™ll pay a non-refundable depositĀ  of ZARĀ 5,495 upfront to confirm your program. This amount includes an application processing fee of ZARĀ 1,400. The remaining balance of your program fee will be due 3 calendar months before your program start date on the final day of that month. This is regardless of whether or not your full fundraising target has been reached.

You will be required to set up a fundraising page on the GVI website within 30 days of your deposit payment. In order to complete a fundraising profile, you will need to send a photo and a short statement to [email protected] which will be added to your fundraising profile.Ā Ā

Should you cancel your program, all funds allocated towards your program fee will be deemed non-refundable. Excess funds will be refunded as outlined in the clause above.

Choosing this payment plan incurs a fee of ZARĀ 2,500 and this fee is added on to your final balance due.

Flights

Where your program fee includes flights, and you have elected the Fundraising or Installment plan, you will be required to pay an additional amount ofĀ  ZARĀ 5,495 to cover your flight deposit 10 calendar months prior to your program start date.

When are my payments due?

Payment is expected on one of three dates each month. The three options are the 15th, the 25th or the last day of each month. You as the participant choose which you prefer. If you do not choose a preferred date, then the 30th will be the default date for charges. On the due date your payment card will be charged automatically. If paying by electronic fund transfer then your payment will become due on the payment due date.Ā

Failure to make payment on your due date may incur a late payment fee of ZARĀ 425. Should your payment not be received within 7 days of your payment due date, GVI reserves the right to cancel your program, without refund.

When paying by credit or debit card, your instalments are automatically deducted from the method of payment used to make your initial deposit payment. Should you wish to change the card being used for your installment payments please contact your Support Coordinator to update your records no later than 7 days prior to your payment due date.Ā

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for details regarding cancellations, refunds and transfers.
